Rock Creek Lake
Getting there: Located 22 miles north of Bishop, California or 13 miles south of Mammoth Lakes. About a 3 hour drive from Reno or a 5 hour drive from L. A.
Access/Parking: Free parking near the boat dock, outlet, and inlet to the lake.
Types of Fish/Fishing: Rainbow, brook, and brown trout using flies, lures, or bait.
Best Bait/Tackle etc: Wet flies such as olive matukas or wooly buggers, especially late in the day.
Best time of day/year: June, late in the day is the best, but usually late in the day any day during the fishing season is good.
California fishing license required.
