The Pemba Channel is widely known, not only as the best place to fish in Kenya but probably the best place in the whole of Africa.

The Pemba Channel Fishing Club has a world-wide reputation for its Marlin catches, holding 75% of all marlin records caught out of Shimoni, 54% of all Kenyan marlin records and 7 all-Africa marlin records. You, too, might well have your name up in lights, as many records are still vacant, especially amongst the ladies’ categories.

The Pemba Channel is Africa’s premier marlin destination. Striped, Black and Blue Marlin, Sailfish, Broadbill, Mako, Tiger and other sharks, Wahoo, Yellowfin Tuna, Dorado, Giant Trevally and many other lesser game fish

The Pemba Channel Fishing Club is recognised world-wide as a fishermen’s paradise and is situated in the tiny fishing village of Shimoni, 80kms south of Mombasa, enjoying stunning picturesque views over the Indian Ocean and the neighbouring island of Wasini.

Everyone is made welcome at the Club, so bring your partner, bring your husband, and bring your children if you wish as there’s plenty to keep non-anglers happy.

Come fish with Captain Will on the beautiful Golden Dragon. This is not just a boat ride! Year The Golden Dragonaround we catch large Pacific Blue Marlin, Ahi Tuna, Spearfish, and Ono. We offer some of the best rates in the harbor!

Captain Will Lazenby is U.S. Coast guard licensed, and has extensive experience fishing in Kona waters. He is known for his expertise with Blue Marlin, Sharks, and Giant Yellow fin Tuna. The Golden Dragon and her crew know the treasures of the Kona cost waters and their surrounding areas.

Because Will Lazenby is the owner AND the captain of the boat, it helps assure the excellent maintenance of the fishing gear, from the rods & reels to the lines and bait, making sure they are ready to perform in the way they are supposed to. We also understand that customers will not return unless they enjoy the fishing experience and they consistently catch fish. We have many returning customers. Captain Will has developed a solid reputation for finding fish and giving customers memories that will last a lifetime.

The Golden Dragon is a beautiful 38′ Bertram located in Kona on the big island of Hawaii. We use only the best fishing equipment and use Penn International 2 speed Reels and fighting chair. We have an enclosed bathroom. We think you will be very comfortable on the Golden Dragon… AND IT IS THE PERFECT BOAT FOR BRINGING IN THE ‘BIG BLUE’ OF A LIFETIME.
